In addition, this is fraud because, even if you have to buy insurance when you purchase the phone, the phone is brand new unless Verizon is merchandising used phones. You should not have to buy insurance when the phone is brand new. This is deceit and a rip off by Verizon. When you get a warranty for a year, the phone lasts a year and a week. If you have to get insurance because there is no warranty, then obviously the consumer cannot be charged for something that’s supposed to last at least 5 to 10 years. Another abomination by Verizon is that the phone will not even come on anymore! I can’t even use the phone to set an alarm or tell the time. Harm that has resulted: I find I have purchased a Blackberry for $150 that became worthless in only 4 months! And the merchant will not fix the phone, refund my money nor provide me with another Blackberry. I paid all that money and now I cannot call overseas and cannot take photos as the phone is worthless!! Verizon Wireless is a fraud. I bought a Blackberry in January, 2011 and it broke on May 2011! The customer rep said “we don’t fix phones”. I explained that Verizon is responsible for fixing phones because of the expense and they have a one year warranty. The rep said “you have to buy insurance on the phone”. When I wrote the CEO explaining that you do not have to buy insurance on a phone any more than you have to buy insurance on a loaf of bread that one purchases at the store, a rep called and said “you have to have insurance on it”. Verizon Wireless refused to fix my phone or pay the FED EX fee to mail it to RIM to have it fixed. I have never had a CEO refuse to do any thing for me before.

I bought a Droid X from a Verizon dealer and within one year the phone blacked screen. I was unable to fix the problem so I told Verizon of the situation. They told me to contact the insurance company to have a new phone shipped to me. I contacted the insurance company several times with them telling me it was a problem Verizon needs to correct. In the mean time I bought a cheap phone from E-bay due to the need for a phone. After I was given the runaround I quit calling. Later on my girlfriend’s phone was having issues and I went to an Authorized Verizon Dealer again and explained the problems we were having with both phones.

I told the sales associate at Cellular Sales (4209 Oleander Drive, Wilmington, NC) I did not want to use my upgrade because I wanted to get a new phone. The sales associate stated he was going to talk to the manager to see what he could do. The Sales associate stated his manager understood my situation and would give my girlfriend the same phone she had before for $50 due to the bad luck I have been having with both phones. The sales associate stated I needed to check the on the computer for the phone. I told the sales associate I did not want to use my upgrade again and that I did not want to sign a new contract.

The sales associate said it would not effect my contract. Later on I found out that it did sign me up for a new contract. I called Verizon and they got the sales company on the phone, three way, and they stated they would take care of the problem. When I went up to take care of the problem the sales associate lied about the situation that happened and continued to lie. I called him out on the situation and he continued to lie and cause problems. I called Verizon again, but this time they would not do anything to help. Later on I cancelled my phone plan with them and went with a different carries. Even though it was an issue I had to pay over $400 for disconnecting from the ripoff artists called Verizon. I will never use Verizon again.

ABC Planning A ‘Bachelor’ Blooper Special

Fantastic news, rose lovers! Though ABC spat upon our hopes and dreams by not renewing Bachelor Pad for a fourth season, the network is about to announce a small peace offering to Bachelor Nation: a bloopers special! Hosted by Chris Harrison, the one-hour special called The Bachelor’s Funniest Moments (airing May 21 at 8 p.m.) will feature goofs, gaffes and general hilarity spanning all 17 seasons of The Bachelor and 8 season of The Bachelorette. As fans know, Bachelor bloopers — usually only seen during the Women Tell All specials — can be extremely illuminating, and often reveal a hidden layer of actual personality underneath the Bachelor’s Ken-doll facade. (I’m looking at you, Brad Womack.) Also, it’s just fun to watch contestants like Tierra almost get decapitated by a boom mic and see Chris Harrison swear a blue streak, as he did in the most recent Bachelor blooper reel. Lots of people get intense cravings for fast food, but one Georgia officer’s alleged Big Mac attack might earn him some time behind bars — and we don’t mean these kind.

DeKalb County police Sgt. Scott Biumi is charged with felony aggravated assault after allegedly pulling a gun on a customer in the drive-thru line of an area McDonald’s on April 9. Video of the incident — captured by security cameras at the restaurant — appears to show a man in a business suit draw a gun and point it at a driver at the head of the line.
