Rumours have emerged that Acer will launch an Android-powered smartphone dubbed the Liquid Gallant Solo at the IFA show in Berlin this month
Acer is gearing up to take on the smartphone market once more with the launch of an Android-powered handset called Liquid Gallant Solo.
The handset is set to accompany a batch of other phones which the PC maker is expected to unveil this month at the IFA show in Berlin.
The mid-range handset can be viewed on Acer’s website in the form of a user manual, which also reveales the device’s full specifications.
According to the PDF document, the Liquid Gallant Solo will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will sport a 4.3-inch display, a 5-megapixel snapper and 1GB of RAM.
A spokeswoman for Acer confirmed to T3 that the firm will launch a batch of handsets at IFA – although she couldn’t give out names of the individual devices.
Acer is also expected to launch a fresh batch of Windows 8-powered devices next year, which include both smartphones and tablets.
